Explanation: The digital assessment tool, Quizizz, was selected as a formative assessment instrument. It was selected to measure a student’s understanding and application of author’s purpose to text evidence from a book. It was selected because of its versatility for playing live or for an assignment such as homework. It is a digital assessment tool that is easily accessed. When creating the assessment within Quizizz, you are able to add and edit text, add images, type in the answer choices, select correct answer choices, duplicate and delete questions, and edit the assessment even after publication. As the teacher, you are able to jumble the questions, jumble the answers, show the answers, show a quiz review, show a leaderboard, show a question timer, show memes after each question, and play music before the game begins.
